Job summary

Runware in France is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to turn ambitious ideas into robust production systems across backend APIs, SDKs, and developer tools. You’ll own projects end-to-end and design solutions that help developers build with AI faster and more creatively.

You’ll mentor teammates, align technical work with product goals, and drive architectural decisions in a remote-first team that values performance, reliability, and thoughtful experimentation.

Qualifications

• Experience building distributed, high‑performance systems.
• Proficient in PHP or Go.
• Designing scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Understanding asynchronous workloads, queues, and streaming data.
• Experience with cloud and bare-metal infrastructure.
• Strong system design, performance optimisation, and scalability skills.
• Clear communicator who leads technical projects across teams.
• Mentors others to raise engineering standards.
• Proactive problem-solver balancing short-term progress with long-term goals.
• Willing to work across European time zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of core systems powering Runware's AI platform.
• Build and evolve backend APIs, SDKs, and developer tools for seamless AI integration.
• Integrate and optimise image, video, and emerging modalities in models.
• Architect scalable, reliable inference orchestration and workload management.
• Collaborate with platform and infra teams to boost performance and observability.
• Shape technical direction through architectural discussions and planning.
• Mentor engineers through code and design reviews to raise quality.
• Contribute to documentation, tooling, and SDKs for a better developer experience.
