Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Back End Developers for a Paris-based, fully remote hourly contract. You will design, build, and optimize server-side systems and APIs powering AI products, from data pipelines to scalable microservices handling real-world traffic.

You'll work on robust backend features, integrate with databases and cloud services, and collaborate asynchronously with engineers and researchers across time zones.

Qualifications

• Proficient in one or more backend languages (Python, Go, Java, Node.js, Rust or similar).
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Comfortable with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Build scalable server-side architecture to support AI workloads.
• Write clean, well-documented, testable code following engineering best practices.
• Integrate with databases, queues, cloud services, and third-party APIs.
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Collaborate asynchronously with distributed teams across time zones.
