C12 Quantum Electronics in Paris is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design of our core quantum measurement software framework. You will bridge R&D and engineering, guiding architecture and robust software solutions across the full lifecycle.

The role emphasizes collaboration within an 80+ team, CI/CD, testing, and mentoring junior engineers in a fast-moving quantum hardware environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend or data-intensive app experience.
• Proficient in Python; willing to learn ecosystem.
• Familiar with message brokers and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Prefect or Airflow is a plus.
• Physics/engineering background is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and curiosity.
• Excellent English communication in teams.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design and development of our core quantum measurement software framework, ensuring high performance and long-term maintainability.
• Partner with R&D and other engineering teams to translate complex experimental requirements into robust software solutions.
• Define and document the architecture for instrument control, data storage, and measurement orchestration to support growth.
• Champion rigorous software practices, code reviews, design discussions, and CI/CD with automated testing pipelines.
• Own the full software lifecycle delivering robust, scalable solutions for quantum R&D.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead by example in code quality and system design.
