C12 Quantum Electronics is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Paris to help shape the software framework powering quantum measurement. You will drive backend design, collaborate with R&D teams, and ensure scalable, maintainable solutions across the lifecycle.

You’ll work with Python, modern orchestration tools, and data-heavy pipelines while aligning with an interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers in a cutting-edge lab setting in Paris.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building robust backend systems or data-intensive applications.
• Proficient in Python as primary language.
• Familiar with message brokers (RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ, Kafka) and PostgreSQL with SQLAlchemy.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Prefect or Airflow.
• Physics, engineering, or quantitative background is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and tool-choosing ability.
• Excellent written and spoken English in collaborative development environments.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design and development of our core quantum measurement software framework.
• Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to translate requirements into robust software solutions.
• Define architecture for instrument control, high-throughput data storage, and measurement orchestration.
• Champion code reviews, CI/CD, and automated testing pipelines.
• Own the full software lifecycle, delivering robust, secure, and scalable solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead by example in code quality and system design.
