Job summary

Checkout.com in Paris is seeking Software Engineers who bring fresh ideas and a curious nature to an engineering environment focused on building products that drive our strategic goals. You’ll design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software across back-end and full-stack domains.

You’ll collaborate with product management and other engineers, mentor juniors, and take on projects that improve resilience and performance of our payments platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in C# .NET, Java, or Go with strong backend or full-stack skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders.
• Experience in agile environments and delivering high-quality code under tight deadlines.
• AI proficiency or curiosity to explore latest tech for productivity gains.
• Payments or fintech knowledge is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product management and engineers across Checkout's portfolio.
• Define and design loosely coupled, scalable systems in a microservices context.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies used by Checkout and share knowledge.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code on critical systems.
• Build, own, and operate systems to high levels of resilience and service.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to their development.
