Datadog seeks a senior polyglot engineer with expertise in .NET or Java to build and own security library integrations and detections. You will contribute across multiple libraries, ensure production readiness, and drive customer value through product engineering.

You will partner with product and engineering teams, mentor peers, and own operational aspects of shipped features, with a strong emphasis on performance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Expert in at least one of .NET (C#) or Java.
• Polyglot capable across other libraries when needed.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with modular, maintainable code.
• Product-engineering mindset: focus on user experience and product outcomes.
• Experience building and shipping libraries or SDKs, with packaging and backward compatibility in mind.
• Care for performance and cost, measured and optimized.
• Operationally mature with full accountability for production work.
• Clear written and verbal communication, RFC-driven collaboration.
• BS/MS/PhD in a STEM field or equivalent experience.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and own security integrations and detections across libraries, with .NET and/or Java as primary focus.
• Take projects from prototype to production-ready, instrumenting thousands of applications.
• Own systems operationally: monitor telemetry, debug cross-system issues, and reduce customer-facing problems.
• Shape the roadmap and drive RFCs for alignment across security library teams.
• Partner with product, backend, and frontend teams to turn ideas into adopted capabilities.
• Mentor teammates and raise the bar on code quality and testing.
• Represent the company in relevant language and security communities.
