Datadog is seeking a senior, polyglot engineer to contribute across our security libraries, with .NET or Java expertise. You'll design and build security integrations and detections, take them from prototype to production-hardened, and own them operationally as they instrument thousands of applications.

As part of a product team, you connect the libraries to customer adoption and security value, helping decide what to build, not just how.

Qualifications

• Expert in at least one of .NET (C#) or Java; polyglot who can contribute across other libraries.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: modular, maintainable code with minimal guidance.
• Product-engineering mindset: care about user experience and outcomes as much as code.
• Experience building and shipping libraries/SDKs consumed by developers; packaging and backward compatibility.
• Operationally mature: take full accountability for production code.
• Clear written and spoken communication; RFC-driven design and collaboration.
• BS/MS/PhD in a STEM field or equivalent experience.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and own security integrations and detections (WAF, RASP, API Security, IAST, SCA) across multiple libraries with .NET and/or Java as primary focus.
• Take projects from prototype to deployed, operable, and maintainable, instrumenting thousands of production applications.
• Own systems operationally: monitor production telemetry, debug cross-system issues, and reduce customer-facing problems.
• Shape the roadmap: define OKRs, break features into components, and drive RFCs for alignment across teams.
• Partner with product management, backend, and frontend teams to turn ideas into customer-adopted capabilities.
• Mentor teammates and raise the bar on code quality and testing; be a force multiplier for the team.
• Represent Datadog in relevant language and security communities.
