Voodoo in Paris is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join the Engineering & Data team. You will architect automated security guardrails, embed secure-by-default practices, and collaborate across early design phases to ensure secure development.

You will contribute code for security fixes and build self-service tools while driving long-term strategy and incident readiness. The role emphasizes hands-on security work, threat modeling, and securing microservices, with a Paris-based and hybrid

Qualifications

• 5+ years troubleshooting systems, analyzing logs, and automating complex tasks via CLI tools.
• 5+ years identifying security vulnerabilities, assessing risks, and crafting mitigations.
• 5+ years scripting and security-focused code reviews across common languages.
• Demonstrated expertise in recognizing vulnerabilities, threat vectors, and remediation techniques.
• Proven leadership or mentoring experience within an engineering team.
• Experience with threat modeling and comprehensive risk identification methodologies.
• Proven track record securing microservices and web services.
• Experience with identity provider servers and authentication protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML).
• Experience with pentest and vulnerability assessments.

Responsibilities

• Architect, construct, and maintain automated security guardrails and paved paths for secure-by-default development environments.
• Collaborate with development teams early in ideation to embed secure coding practices and architecture.
• Develop automated, continuous assessment capabilities to replace manual reviews at scale.
• Contribute code for security fixes and paved-path solutions alongside engineers.
• Build scalable, self-service security tools for teams to detect and remediate risks.
• Implement preventive and detective controls for ongoing security assurance.
• Drive long-term security strategy with stakeholders and participate in on-call rotations.
• Leverage AI technologies to streamline threat detection and scalable system protection.
