Spendesk is building a dedicated Security Engineering function. You will be the first senior hire, shaping how we protect our platform and drive a security-aware engineering culture. This is an individual contributor role with mentoring and strong technical depth.

You will own the security roadmap, work with compliance, and partner across squads to implement secure-by-default solutions. You will also guide security reviews across code, IaC, and multi-tenant AWS environments.

Qualifications

• Experience owning security outcomes end to end across multiple domains (code, infra, incident response).
• Ability to define and drive a security roadmap with autonomous execution.
• Strong understanding of modern web architectures and security implications.
• Proficient in scripting/automation to reduce toil and improve detection.

Responsabilités

• Own vulnerability and incident management, triage, and remediation coordination.
• Lead SIEM operations, detection development, and runbooks.
• Own IAM implementations including SSO/MFA and access reviews.
• Embed security into CI/CD: secure code patterns, threat modelling, and gate tooling.
• Coordinate penetration tests and security audits; drive post-audit actions.
