Wandercraft is looking for a Senior Modeling & Simulation Engineer to join the AI & Control department in Paris. You will enhance the realism and performance of our simulation tools, enabling machine learning and control experimentation across robotics projects.

Requires 5+ years in robotics/simulation, Master’s or PhD, and strong Python/C++ coding with experience in multiple simulators. Collaboration with embedded software, electronics, and mechanics is essential.

Qualifications

5+ years in robotics, simulation, or related field; academic work valued.
Ability to prototype and experiment with robotics algorithms.
Experience in Python/C++ software development and team collaboration.

Responsabilités

Develop and evolve the simulation environment to improve physical realism and model fidelity.
Optimize simulation performance and scalability to enable large-scale testing and learning campaigns.
Develop, implement, and run parameter identification methods to improve accuracy and predictive power.
Develop and apply methods to reduce the sim-to-real gap between simulated and real robotic systems.
Design and implement new simulation capabilities to support control, robotics, and ML teams.
Maintain and evolve the simulation platform, tools, and pipelines.
Collaborate with control and ML teams to facilitate simulation-based algorithm development and validation.
Conduct technology watch on methods, tools, and simulation engines relevant to robotics.
Identify, evaluate, and benchmark new simulators or frameworks.
Lead the integration of new simulation engines into the control architecture.
