Job summary

C12 Quantum Electronics, based in Paris, is seeking an Instrumentalist / Metrologist to own the measurement chain for qubits. You will oversee the cryogenic DC and microwave control and build robust readout setups in a fast-growing team.

You will work with quantum physicists to quantify noise impact, calibrate pulses, and design dashboards to monitor metrics. A PhD in experimental physics or metrology and strong Python skills are essential, with a drive for building scalable quantum hardware.

Qualifications

• PhD in experimental physics or metrology with strong track record.
• Experience with RF experiments and cryogenic systems.
• Proficient in Python for control and data processing.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the error budget of the quantum gates and cryogenic readout chains.
• Manage cryogenic DC and microwave control and readout.
• Collaborate with physicists to calibrate pulses and optimize readout and gate fidelities.
• Design dashboards to monitor qubit performance and provide quantitative feedback to R&D teams.
• Drive upgrades and installations from specification through commissioning.
• Write documentation and train researchers on measurement protocols.
• Ensure robustness and scalability readiness of the measurement chain.
• Co-design specifications for integration of the measurement chain.
