Job summary

C12 Quantum Electronics in Paris is seeking a highly skilled quantum physicist to join the Qubit Control team as a senior contributor to the development of a scalable quantum processor. The role combines hands-on quantum experiments, instrument control, and close collaboration with theory and software teams to drive automation and reproducibility toward a quantum advantage demonstration.

A PhD or equivalent research experience is required, along with strong Python programming and mentoring

Qualifications

• PhD required or Masters with substantial research experience in quantum physics or related field.
• Hands-on experience with quantum experiments (qubits, DC transport, microwave spectroscopy).
• Strong Python fluency for experiment control and data processing.
• Experience mentoring PhD students or interns is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Design, calibrate, and optimize DC and microwave experiments in cryogenic setups.
• Develop scalable measurement and analysis workflows with increasing autonomy.
• Sustain close feedback with engineering teams to improve device performance.
• Collaborate with theory team to connect observations to models.
• Collaborate with software team to enable automation toward a full QPU.
• Deepen understanding of spin qubits in carbon nanotubes within high-impedance cQED architectures.
