BIC World is seeking a Senior Production Manager to lead the Marne-la-Vallée plant, overseeing safety, quality, and operational performance. You will manage budgets, resources, and cross functional teams to sustain efficiency across production lines and coordinate with Procurement, Core Tech and QA Labs.

Ideal candidates have extensive manufacturing leadership experience, fluent English and French, and a track record of driving continuous improvement in a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing.
• Manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing.
• Large people management experience.
• Unionized staff management and plant financials.
• 15+ years in Manufacturing/Production.
• Strong leadership with change management.
• Fluent in English and French.

Responsabilités

• Review and consolidate the department budget for the upcoming year.
• Control operations, expenses, headcount, investments; authorize purchasing over 1,000 USD totaling 1M EUR/year.
• Drive initiatives to improve organizational culture and equity for employees.
• Guarantee service level for internal and external customers by meeting production schedules.
• Adhere to Quality standards and certifications across operations.
• Deploy resources to production lines with clear ownership and maintenance.
• Report production results and drive continuous improvement actions.
• Coordinate startup/new product requests with Logistics and Central Supply.

AsMLV Senior Production Manager you support the implementation of strategies to achieve the operational and financial results in MLV Plant.

Marne-la-Vallée plant priority is to deliver on daily bases its volumes for CRISTAL, 4 COLORS and M10 products, to distribute on all European markets.

The plant manufactures over 10 billion of components and over 500 million of finished ball pens per year with a value of 54 M Euros; managing the processes from Metallurgy to Assembly operations, complying with Quality standards based on international certifications; this results are represented in metrics related to all employees safety, production volume and costs, products quality, plant efficiency, equipment maintenance, labor stability and people development, assuring operational efficiency of MLV.

MLV factory also serves most of the other stationery factories with components such as inks and points and lead the collaboration in site between the groups of manufacturing, BIC Tech, R&D and QA Labs.

According to the profile, the senior manager be will leading different departments, which will evolve through time (Production departments, maintenance, HSE, Quality, Logistics, ...)

Job description:

• Ensure the safest conditions for all the employees and boost the cultural change of Safety through all the organization by adopting the established safety measure and actively promoting safety culture
• Review and consolidate the Budget of his department for the upcoming year, including assumptions, volumes, projects, capacity, labor, materials costs, expenses, investments, savings and standard cost evolution (for products manufactured in the plants).
• Control of all the operations, follow up of expenses, head count, investments and authorize purchasing of maintenance and manufacturing over 1,000 USD getting a total of 1 M Euros in expenses per year (on the whole scope).
• Ensure initiatives to enhance the culture of the organization and the equity for the employees.
• Guarantee the service level for the internal customers and external customers by accomplishing production schedules.
• Respect Quality standards dictated by the Category and/or the international certifications and taking care that all the operations follow them.
• Deploy and manage all the resources assigned to each production line, Department, materials, headcount, equipment usage and maintenance.
• Report production results in consistent basis along with the definition of continuous improvement actions.
• Coordinate all the activities of production for the request of new products start up, current production improvement and also coordinate with Logistic and Central Supply Department for the Attainment and Adherence of our productions.
• Provide any needed technical support in industrial or core tech. projects
• Ensure accomplishment of operational efficiency level KPI for all the perimeters to achieve the result. Design and deploy improvement plan to reach and/or sustain the efficiency level.
• Coordinature and leadthe collaboration and alignment with other functions in site, Procurement, Core Tech, Innovation and Quality Labs.
