Job summary

IFS is seeking a Senior Principal Platform Lead to own the Internal Developer Platform, define golden paths, and drive adoption across NGA and IFS product teams. You will combine architectural thinking with hands-on delivery, mentoring engineers while building production AI-powered platforms at enterprise scale.

You will lead end-to-end execution of the IDP, ensuring a cohesive, secure, and scalable developer experience across multiple teams and products.

Qualifications

8+ years in platform, infrastructure, or developer-tooling engineering.
Hands-on senior individual contributor with architectural thinking.
Experience owning a developer portal end‑to‑end (Backstage, Port, Cortex, or equivalent).
Proven ability to ship production AI applications and to scale developer platforms.

Responsibilities

Own the IDP vision, roadmap, and end-to-end execution across the toolchain and service catalogue.
Own the developer experience vision for the Nexus platform from service creation to production observability.
Collaborate with product, IAM, infrastructure, and SRE teams to deliver cohesive and secure developer experiences.
Define platform standards that make the right way easy and improve DX.
Drive adoption metrics: onboarding time, self-service completion rates, and time-to-first-deployment.
Mentor Principal and Senior platform engineers and raise DX quality.
Influence platform strategy at the architectural level and represent the developer platform in leadership forums.
