Gama in Ivry-sur-Seine is seeking a Senior Power Test Engineer to build and automate test benches for batteries and power electronics intended for flight. You will define qualification campaigns, run environmental tests, and operate the in-house cell testing lab, collaborating with the design team.

The role requires 5+ years in test engineering, hands-on experience with battery/power electronics testing, Python scripting, and strong electronics fundamentals; English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on test engineering experience.
• Experience testing batteries or power electronics: cyclers, electronic loads, power supplies, analyzers, thermal chambers.
• Test automation and scripting (Python or similar).
• Solid electronics fundamentals: measurement techniques, sensing, grounding, safe high-current/voltage practices.
• Autonomy in the lab with instrumentation.
• Strong analytical skills and proactive attitude.
• Professional level English.

Responsabilités

• Design and build test benches for battery cells, packs, BMS subsystems, and power converters.
• Automate test benches: sequencing, instrument control, data acquisition, data processing.
• Implement mission-representative test scenarios on benches based on design team use cases.
• Define and run qualification campaigns for environmental and functional tests toward flight acceptance.
• Operate and develop the in-house cell testing laboratory and interact with suppliers.
