Job summary

Capital Fund Management (CFM) is seeking a senior individual contributor for the Quant Platform to raise reliability, automation, and cloud-native maturity. You will own hard problems end-to-end, set engineering standards, and mentor through hands-on work.

You will evolve the platform toward automated, observable, self-service infrastructure engineers can rely on, with a hybrid stack (AWS + on-prem) and a focus on resilience, change control, andFinOps discipline.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional engineering in production environments.
• Extensive hands-on track record as a platform, infrastructure, or reliability engineer.
• Deep, current expertise with AWS cloud-native architecture.
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CDK, or equivalent) and GitOps practice.
• Solid CI/CD experience (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
• Real SRE / observability experience: SLOs, monitoring, incident management.

Responsibilities

• Drive observability adoption across critical Quant Platform services by defining telemetry, dashboards, alerts, and operational signals.
• Establish and evolve reliability practices for platform services, including SLOs, error budgets, incident reviews, and data-driven improvement plans.
• Automate incident response, runbooks, recovery workflows, and L3 support patterns.
• Reduce operational toil by instrumenting failure modes, eliminating repetitive tasks, and enabling self-service operations.
• Design and implement self-healing and autonomous operations capabilities to improve resilience and reduce time to detection/repair.
• Strengthen production change management, security controls, resilience practices, and FinOps for cloud/hybrid services.
• Act as a technical reference for observability, reliability engineering, autonomous operations, and operational excellence across Quant Engineering.
