Job summary

Eutelsat seeks a senior software engineer to build the Linux platform software for the next generation of satellite terminals. You will wrap the modem and antenna subsystems, provide stable APIs, and integrate higher layers of the User Terminal software stack for reliable call setup and automated recovery.

You will collaborate with modem/RF architects and external partners in a constrained embedded environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, including embedded or systems software on Linux.
• Fluent professional English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain the terminal platform software on embedded Linux: system services, device abstraction, IPC, lifecycle and state management, and boundary with modem/antenna subsystems.
• Design and maintain terminal APIs: local/remote control interfaces, configuration, telemetry, and event streams, versioning and backward compatibility.
