Lever, Inc. is seeking a Backend Engineer (PHP) based in France to join a high-scale team building a microservices-driven backend for a global gaming marketplace.

You will own and evolve backend services, design robust APIs, and collaborate across frontend, mobile, design, data, and platform teams to deliver reliable features used by millions. Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional backend engineering experience in distributed systems.
• Strong PHP and Symfony expertise with recent framework versions.
• Deep understanding of microservices, CQRS, circuit breaking, and service orchestration.
• Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, AWS, and Terraform.
• Product-minded, ownership-driven, and collaborative.
