Lever, Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Engineer based in France to design, build, and maintain software across a global, distributed product ecosystem, including publishing, e-commerce, and content platforms.

You will work with PHP and JavaScript, pursue performance and scalability, contribute to open‑source projects, and collaborate across time zones. The role supports autonomy, flexible work, AI-assisted development, and travel about 3–4 weeks per year for in‑person meetups.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering production‑quality software.
• Experience with multiple languages and paradigms; PHP/JavaScript helpful.
• Experience at scale with distributed systems and performance considerations.
• Strong debugging, architecture, and code quality focus.
• Willingness to travel 3–4 weeks per year.
