Royal Canin, a Mars, Incorporated brand, is seeking a Packaging Development Manager – Paper Packaging to lead the next generation of recyclable paper bag solutions at our Aimargues campus near Montpellier.

You will own projects from concept through plant industrialization, partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams, and ensure delivery aligned with production KPIs.

This role shapes the packaging roadmap, drives risk management, and shares technical expertise across global R&D networks.

Qualifications

• Proven technical expertise in paper-based packaging materials.
• Hands-on experience with medium to large packaging formats / industrial multiwall bags.
• Strong experience in risk management and qualification protocols for packaging solutions.
• Fluency in English with excellent cross-functional communication.
• Direct experience in food contact packaging and recyclable barrier solutions is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end paper packaging innovation projects: from brief to full industrial deployment across manufacturing plants, ensuring on-time delivery and KPIs.
• Drive sustainable packaging roadmap & supplier qualification with external suppliers, Procurement, and Sustainability teams.
• Oversee technical risk analysis and line trials, define testing standards, and optimize qualification processes.
• Fuel innovation and share technical expertise across cross-functional teams and global R&D networks.
