Job summary

Royal Canin in Aimargues near Montpellier is seeking a Global Packaging Technology Specialist – WET Food H/F/X to drive packaging material and process innovations across our global factory network, from dry silos to can/wet packaging.

You will lead industrialization and governance pillars for DRY & WET packaging, define RD specifications, coordinate cross-functional teams, and support regional deployment within Mars Petcare.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science or engineering; packaging is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in packaging industry as an R&D Engineer, or Quality & food Safety in a factory environment.
• Proven experience working in multicultural and international companies.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
• Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the PACKAGING INDUSTRIALIZATION pillar for DRY & WET at Global.
• Ideation: collaborate with cross-functional teams from kick-off to launch and draft Industrial Risk Assessments.
• Prototyping: update IRAs based on pilot outputs and participate in Go/No-Go decisions.
• Industrialization: define factory test run plans and sampling protocols with DEPLOY teams.
• Launch: release final packaging specifications and validate IRAs for deployment.
• Factory & Regional Support: act as escalation point for regional teams and provide troubleshooting.
