UNESCO is seeking a Senior Consultant to advance Open Solutions and Open Data initiatives in a global context. You will refine frameworks, develop implementation notes, and contribute to policy guidance and annual reporting under the Open Data and Diamond Open Access programs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with international partners, preparation of briefs, and participation in planning for 2027 events and knowledge-sharing activities.

Qualifications

• PhD in Natural Sciences, Public Policy and/or related field.
• Experience in intergovernmental bodies or development organizations.
• Experience with Open Data, Open Solutions and Open Access policies.
• Knowledge of UNESCO rules and procedures.
• Strong writing and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Support Open Data activities under the UNESCO-KISTI Collaboration.
• Refine the benchmark framework for assessing Open Data strategies.
• Prepare implementation notes for Open Data and platform tools.
• Contribute to Diamond Open Access guidelines and workflows.
• Prepare the 2026 annual report on UNESCO-KISTI activities.
• Engage in awareness and outreach for Open Solutions and related programmes.
