IOTA Group is seeking a Senior Onshore & Nearshore Engineering Geophysics Expert in Paris to lead complex geophysical projects worldwide. The role covers seismic, MASW, ERT, EM, GPR, MAG, MT, and microgravimetry with a focus on offshore transitions and coastal infrastructure.

Responsibilities include managing tenders, evaluating bids, coordinating field operations, QA/QC, and delivering detailed reports. French language skills are compulsory; experience in O&G and renewables is highly valued.

Senior Onshore & Nearshore Engineering Geophysics Expert

Join the engineering geophysics technical team of a leading international O&G operator, providing expertise across worldwide onshore and nearshore geophysical projects covering O&G, renewables, coastal, and port infrastructure.

• Prepare scopes of work and technical specifications for geophysical surveys.
• Manage Calls for Tender and support technical bid evaluations.
• Lead contractor technical clarifications and scoring meetings.
• Coordinate field operations, QA/QC, and contractor performance.
• Review and validate technical reports and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, reporting, and invoice validation.
• Prepare technical recommendations, synthesis reports, and project close-out memos.
• Support training and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

• MSc/MEng in Geophysics, Geology, or equivalent.
• 12–20 years of engineering geophysics experience.
• Strong expertise in onshore/nearshore methods: seismic, MASW, ERT, EM, MAG, GPR, MT, and microgravimetry.
• Experience in utility detection, marine cable detection, and cable landing operations.
• Strong Desktop Study capabilities.
• Knowledge of French DT-DICT regulations and NF S70-003, plus international standards.
• O&G experience required; coastal/port and renewable energy experience is an advantage.
• Strong project management, analytical, reporting, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple international projects simultaneously.
