ECC Group in Paris, France seeks a Senior MEP Design & Engineering Project Manager to lead design and engineering coordination for a portfolio of mission-critical data centre projects.

The role requires a strong Mechanical Building Services background, extensive experience across design through delivery, and fluency in French and English; you will manage interfaces between mechanical, electrical, and controls teams and drive technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive experience managing engineering/design on large, technically complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services, including cooling, HVAC, ventilation and related infrastructure.
• Broad understanding of electrical and wider MEP systems.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and external engineering consultants.
• Proven ability to operate across multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong design management, technical coordination and stakeholder-management capability.
• Experience from design development through construction and commissioning.
• Ability to challenge consultants and engineers at senior level.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Responsabilités

• Leading and coordinating MEP engineering and design activities across multiple projects.
• Providing oversight of mechanical systems and infrastructure.
• Managing the design process from concept to handover.
• Reviewing technical designs, drawings and submissions.
• Challenging design solutions and identifying value engineering opportunities.
• Managing interfaces between Mechanical, Electrical, CSA, Controls and Commissioning disciplines.
• Coordinating external consultants, design teams, contractors and suppliers.
• Ensuring deliverables meet programme, quality and technical requirements.
• Identifying risks and potential programme impacts early.
• Supporting design reviews and project meetings.
• Working with project management, construction and commissioning teams through delivery.
• Providing senior technical input to clients and stakeholders.
• Maintaining engineering consistency across a portfolio of projects.
