Yahoo is seeking a senior security professional to join The Paranoids FIRE operations team. You will lead incident response and digital forensics efforts, conduct proactive threat hunting at Internet scale, and mentor junior analysts on complex investigations.

Role requires night shifts (8 PM–6 AM ET, Mon–Thu) and a passion for automating tasks with AI tooling. Hybrid work options and comprehensive security telemetry support are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SOC/Incident Response with complex investigations.
• Strong experience with macOS and Linux systems and security architectures.
• Deep knowledge of network/host forensics, log analysis, and malware triage.
• Experience as a shift lead or project lead in security operations.
• Familiar with MITRE ATT&CK and modern attack patterns.
• Experience using AI assistants/LLMs for scripting or documentation.

Responsabilités

• Act as shift lead and resource for teammates during investigations.
• Perform threat hunting using Databricks and AI models to detect anomalies.
• Develop and deliver tabletop exercises and participate in regular threat hunts.
• Assess high-priority incidents and drive remediation across Yahoo units.
• Tune detection signatures and develop AI-augmented playbooks with engineering teams.
• Evaluate new log sources for security value and automate repetitive IR tasks.
