Yahoo's Paranoids team seeks a Detection Engineering Sr. Manager to lead threat detection and response. You will guide, organize, and mentor engineers to build and maintain detection rules, work with Incident Response and Insider Threat teams, and leverage AI-enabled capabilities to scale threat discovery.

You will also collaborate with threat intelligence and data science to identify threats early and accelerate defense improvements across Yahoo's global infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Strong track record leading security or engineering teams.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, ETL, and SIEM platforms.

Responsabilités

• Shape and execute the detection strategy with engineers and leadership.
• Brainstorm detection, hunt, and purple-team ideas.
• Lead hypothesis-driven research and delivery commitments.
• Guide the sprint process for building and deploying detections.
• Support investigations as a leader of the Threat Detection and Response group.
• Build new systems to catch adversaries and improve defenses.
• Collaborate on Paranoids strategy and cross-team initiatives.
• Foster a fun, inclusive team culture.
