Veepee is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Foundation - Infrastructure Development team. You will contribute across projects like Gaio, VeepeeCloud, and other internal infrastructure services. You will be embedded with SREs, DevOps engineers, and Product Owners, and work across Rust, Go, and Scala as needed.

You are expected to bring solid engineering judgment, operate confidently in production, and leverage AI coding tools as part of daily workflow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience on large-scale systems.
• Strong proficiency in at least one of Go, Rust, or Scala, with willingness to work across all three.
• Proven experience with large databases and operational concerns at scale.
• Direct experience in production incident management; participate in rotations and war rooms.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps/SRE tooling: Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of fault-tolerance, observability, scalability, and reliability in distributed systems.
• Comfortable using AI coding agents as daily productivity tools.
• Ability to learn fast and pick up new technologies and domains.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsabilités

• Design, implement, and maintain production services across multiple infrastructure projects.
• Participate in architectural discussions and weigh trade-offs between approaches.
• Collaborate with SREs on infrastructure and operational decisions.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Respond to production incidents and contribute to their resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality standards; use AI coding agents.
