Royal Caribbean Group in Saint-Nazaire seeks a Senior Expert HVAC to drive development and qualification of advanced mechanical systems onboard cruise ships, supporting the corporate net-zero target and energy concepts.

You will coordinate project phases with suppliers, shipyards, and internal teams, overseeing feasibility, verification, and field follow-up, while applying SOLAS/IMO regulations and ensuring seamless integration of HVAC technology.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in newbuilding marine engineering technologies.
• Knowledge of ship systems and technologies behind the systems.
• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
• Excellent written & verbal English.
• High level communications skills. Ability proactively to create and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, development partners and with remote based team and colleagues.
• Independent and self-oriented skills to lead simultaneous projects.
• Strong team and network leader.

Responsabilités

• Supports NB project teams in specific technological systems and disciplines.
• Ensures technology surveillance and regulatory surveillance within his scope of expertise.
• Participates on the development of HVAC systems and energy concepts, and related automation and control systems.
• Actively coordinates the different phases of the development project plan.
• Participates in definition, feasibility studies, follow up and approval process of ships HVAC systems and related energy impact.
• Contributes to risk assessment processes of novel technologies and solutions.
• Builds and maintains close collaboration with our pool of experts in the European teams.
• Applies relevant rules and regulations in the development of cruise ship design and building.
• Assesses and advises specifications, measurements, and calculations relevant to ship design.
• Develops and prepares reports and records related to assignments or projects.
