Harmattan AI in Paris is seeking a senior hardware engineer to own end-to-end electronics design for rugged drone/defense boards. You will design mixed-signal and RF PCBs, lead bring-up, and collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams to ensure manufacturability and cost targets.

The role requires hands-on experience with Altium, RF impedance control, EMC, and DFM/DFA for mass production, with autonomy in a small team and a focus on production readiness.

Qualifications

• Senior hardware engineer with PCB design and production experience.
• Rigorous schematics, layout, and bring-up discipline.
• Strong sense of cost and manufacturability for high-volume production.
• Able to bridge hardware and firmware in a small team.

Responsabilités

• Schematic Design – complete schematics for mixed-signal and RF boards.
• PCB Layout & Routing – 6-8 layer boards with impedance control.
• Component selection & BOM optimisation for mass production.
• Hardware bring-up & debug using bench equipment; write bring-up scripts.
• EMC & RF compliance – ensure antenna matching and RF performance.
• Collaborate with Embedded SW to define hardware interfaces.
• Collaborate with Mechanical for PCB integration in enclosures.
• Supplier & Manufacturing ramp-up; support DFM/DFA reviews.
• Documentation – schematics, layout files, test procedures, specs.
