Harmattan AI is seeking a senior hardware engineer to own electronics design end-to-end for field-deployable launcher modules. You will develop PCBs combining digital and power sections, ensure production-readiness, and collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams.

The role emphasizes rugged, cost-aware designs for outdoor environments, with responsibilities spanning schematics, layout, thermal architecture, BOM optimization, and supplier ramp-up.

Qualifications

• Senior hardware engineer with PCB design and production experience.
• Experience with high-power electronics and outdoor deployment preferred.
• Ability to bridge hardware and firmware in a small team.

Responsabilités

• Design complete schematics for mixed-signal and power boards, from power stages to digital and communication sections.
• PCB Layout & Routing - lead board placement and routing with signal integrity focus.
• Power & Thermal Architecture - define and validate power architecture and thermal strategy.
• Environmental Robustness - ensure electronics withstand outdoor deployment and plan qualification.
• Component Selection & BOM Optimization - select components for cost, availability and reliability; drive BOM reductions.
• Hardware Bring-up & Debug - lead bring-up with oscilloscopes and bench equipment; write scripts as needed.
• EMC & Safety Compliance - address EMC and electrical safety across power and battery sections.
• Collaboration with Embedded SW - work with firmware to define hardware/software interfaces.
• Collaboration with Mechanical - ensure PCB integration into enclosures.
• Supplier & Manufacturing Ramp-up - qualify PCB manufacturers and assembly; support DFM/DFA for production.
• Documentation - maintain schematics, layout, test procedures and hardware specs.
