Malt is Europe\'s leading freelance marketplace, connecting over 1,000,000 freelancers with 100,000+ companies. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our product-driven team in Paris, collaborating with Product Managers and Designers to turn user needs into real features.

You will own features end-to-end from ideation to release, balancing speed and quality in a fast-paced environment. You will work with Java/Kotlin and TypeScript, explore Vue.js and Nuxt, and contribute to scalable

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience in a product environment (SaaS, fintech, marketplace).
• Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin and comfortable with backend architecture, APIs, and data modeling.
• Experience with TypeScript and eagerness to learn Vue.js/Nuxt.
• Product Engineer mindset: think beyond code, propose improvements, own delivery from A to Z.
• Pragmatic development: balance modern architecture with fast, disposable code when needed.
• Autonomy and ability to improve team practices and adapt methods to the context.
• Fluent in English, comfortable in an English-speaking environment.

Responsabilités

• Think product-first: collaborate with PMs and Designers to understand user needs and co-create solutions.
• Take the lead and own features end-to-end from sketch to release and beyond.
• Build and maintain fast deployment rhythms; balance speed, quality, and business impact.
• Be a partner who challenges the status quo when it makes sense.
• Mentor teammates, share knowledge, review code, and raise the team’s bar.
