Yahoo is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead frontend-heavy, scalable engineering across our commerce platforms. You will bridge AI-driven insights with intuitive user interfaces, guiding end-to-end development with independence and high velocity.

You will collaborate with product and design, drive technical excellence, and mentor the squad while applying AI tools to accelerate delivery and maintain quality and performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert command of core web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript) and frameworks (React, Next.js, Node.js).
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, clean design.
• Experience applying LLM/AI-accelerated development tools.
• Team collaboration in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with TDD and testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright).

Responsabilités

• Design and implement frontend-heavy, scalable solutions across Yahoo’s commerce verticals.
• Integrate AI-driven product insights into user flows for personalized shopping research.
• Lead AI-assisted development workflows ensuring quality and performance.
• Collaborate with design to translate visions into high-quality code.
• Troubleshoot complex bugs and performance bottlenecks.
