Job summary

Qonto in Paris, France is seeking a Senior Fraud Analyst to protect customers by detecting and preventing fraud. You will join a newly created Fraud team focused on safeguarding Qonto’s French market customers from scams and fraudulent activities.

You will report to Anamaria, Senior Team Lead Fraud, and take ownership of medium-scale projects end-to-end, monitor transactions, assess risk for new products, and collaborate with Risk and Security teams.

Qualifications

• Fraud/AML experience with ability to independently handle complex cases.
• Bilingual in English and French (Portuguese is a nice to have).
• Evidence-based and creative thinking to detect patterns and solve complex fraud cases.
• Confident communicating with customers and counterparties, including in sensitive situations.
• Comfortable coaching junior analysts or new joiners on casework when needed.
• Open to feedback and motivated to keep sharpening skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze transactions to detect fraud patterns, focusing on scams, phishing attempts, and account takeover activities.
• Conduct risk assessments for new products and features while ensuring robust onboarding fraud prevention.
• Independently investigate complex fraud cases and implement preventive measures across financing and payment products.
• Own medium-scale projects end-to-end, aligned with team objectives set by your Lead.
• Support junior analysts and new joiners on complex cases as needed.
• Work with Risk and Security teams to strengthen fraud detection capabilities and align strategies.
• Deliver high-quality, timely fraud analysis while maintaining customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
