Abyss Energy is seeking a Method Lead Engineer to join its FPSO Project team in Paris. You will develop, coordinate, and supervise heavy lift and installation methodologies to ensure safe and efficient project execution.

Responsibilities include preparing method statements, lifting studies, and risk assessments, while providing technical support to construction teams. English and French fluency and OGUK fitness certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Structural, Marine, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas industry, preferably on FPSO or offshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of lifting operations and offshore construction methods.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel.
• Fluent in English and French (spoken and written).
• OGUK medical fitness certification.

Responsabilités

• Lead the preparation and validation of heavy lift and installation methods for FPSO-related operations.
• Develop engineering documentation including method statements, lifting studies, procedures, and risk assessments.
• Provide technical support to construction and installation teams during project phases.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, company standards, and HSE regulations.
• Collaborate with Installation, HSE, Subcontracts, Procurement to optimize operations.
• Act as primary technical reference for heavy lift activities.
