Job summary

Ebury Leon Office is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to lead IFRS 9/IFRS 13 accounting, manage subsidiary audits, and ensure accurate entity reporting. The role offers hybrid work (4 days in office, 1 day remote) and close collaboration with Group Financial Controller and senior managers.

You will own ECL provisions, disclosures, and mappings, while driving process improvements and maintaining robust controls across the group. Strong Excel skills and Big 4 audit exposure are highly valued.

Qualifications

• IFRS 9/IFRS13 knowledge with ECL, CVA/DVA
• 5+ years in audit, accounting, or financial reporting
• Hands-on IFRS 9/IFRS 13 experience and an audit background (Big 4) is a plus
• Ability to prepare financial statements, including mapping
• Project-management mindset with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Own IFRS 9/IFRS 13 numbers, from calculation to posting (ECL provisions, CVA/DVA)
• Explain movements with a monthly management summary
• Keep IFRS 9/IFRS 13 policies and disclosures up to date
• Collaborate with Data, Treasury and Credit Risk teams and answer auditors’ questions
• Streamline and simplify processes where possible
• Run audits of subsidiaries from start to finish and sign off on schedule
• Prepare monthly packs and P&L/balance sheet variance analysis
