Job summary

Canonical is seeking an exceptional Accountant with IFRS experience to help prepare for a future IPO. The role is office-based in London or remote within EMEA time zones, joining a growing Finance team driving process improvements and compliance across the ledger and reporting functions.

You will contribute to month-end close, year-end audits, and international reporting while collaborating across finance and business teams. A strong accounting background and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Academic excellence with strong track record.
• Bachelor’s in Accounting or equivalent.
• Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/ACMA/CPA) or equivalent.
• Experience at large public accounting firm or multinational corporate accounting.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Willingness to travel up to four times per year.

Responsibilities

• Assist month-end reporting to deliver timely and accurate information.
• Own part of ledger processes relevant to strengths.
• Assist with year-end audit and statutory reporting.
• Support IPO preparation and related finance initiatives.
• Improve efficiency of financial processes and monitor compliance.
• Share knowledge within the team to ensure coverage.
• Develop skills and stay updated with standards and regulations.
• Build strong relationships with key colleagues outside finance.
