Job summary

H.Essers France is seeking a Team Manager Accounting to lead a local finance team and advance the accounting function across GL, AP and AR. You will ensure accurate closings, robust reporting to Group Finance, and strict compliance with VAT and local tax obligations.

The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on accounting and payroll duties in a multinational environment. You will partner with HQ Finance, manage external auditors and tax advisors, and drive digitalization of processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience, ideally in international or multi-entity settings.
• Proven people management, coaching and development skills.
• Solid knowledge of French accounting principles (French GAAP).
• Hands-on experience with statutory audits, financial reporting and regulatory compliance in France.
• Strategic but hands-on, able to contribute to accounting and payroll controlling when needed.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and capable of multi-priority management.
• Fluent French with professional English for international collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the local finance team (AP, AR, GL).
• Structure processes and optimize roles, responsibilities and controls.
• Ensure timely monthly closings and accurate financial data.
• Contribute to accounting activities (GL, closings, complex entries) and payroll analysis.
• Provide monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to the Group.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax and local obligations.
• Coordinate with HQ Finance on consolidation, controlling and audits.
• Drive optimization of financial systems and digital processes.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors and external partners.
