Job summary

Databricks is seeking a seasoned architect to lead production-grade customer projects, delivering end-to-end big data and AI solutions. You will design reference architectures, data ingestion pipelines, and ML/AI model integrations, collaborating with engineers, PMs, and customers to ensure scalable, secure outcomes.

You will embed with customer teams to understand challenges, drive architectural decisions, and contribute reusable assets that scale across accounts. Travel ~20% may be required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Comfortable writing code in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of two cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs.
• Design and deployment of scalable, end-to-end data architectures.
• Experience delivering technical projects with stakeholder management.
• Travel to customers ~20%.
• Databricks Certification

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade customer projects delivering reference architectures and data ingestion and ML/AI model integration.
• Guide strategic customers through end-to-end big data design, build and deployment.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impact.
• Own architecture decisions for secure, scalable solutions aligned with Databricks best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, PM, architects, and customer teams to meet engagement goals.
• Provide product and implementation feedback to enable rapid issue resolution.
• Contribute accelerators and best practices to scale impact across accounts.
