Harmattan AI is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to own the embedded software stack across compute modules, from bare board to a secured Linux platform. You will develop BSPs, boot chain, drivers, and board bring-up on new hardware while collaborating with hardware, systems, and software teams to deliver mission-critical defense systems.

Qualifications

• MSc in engineering or related field required; PhD a plus.
• 5+ years of embedded software experience with reproducible BSPs through hardware evolution.
• Strong experience with embedded Linux build systems (Yocto/OpenEmbedded).
• Kernel-space driver development for ARM targets and hardware peripherals.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain BSP, device trees, and reference images across kernel upgrades and revisions.
• Own boot chain, including bootloader porting, signed boot, and secure updates.
• Develop and validate Linux drivers for I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, PCIe, and MIPI.
• Provide board bring-up support for MCU targets and hardware validation.
• Lead software bring-up on new hardware; participate in design reviews and troubleshooting.
• Define test plans and automate boot/peripheral tests on real targets; document milestones.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and embedded software platform teams for integration.
• Mentor junior embedded engineers as needed.
