Harmattan AI is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to own the firmware architecture for next-generation hardware products, including field-deployable launchers and ruggedized controllers. You will work with hardware and mechanical engineers from bring-up to production-ready deployment in resource-constrained MCU environments.

The role offers high autonomy, rapid feedback, and a fast-paced environment with limited bureaucracy.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of embedded software development experience (junior) up to 10+ years (senior).
• Experience taking at least one embedded product from prototype to mass production.
• Proficient in Embedded C/C++ with bare-metal and RTOS on MCUs (ARM Cortex-M).
• Hands-on debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD; know SPI, I2C, UART, USB, CAN.
• Strong version control, CI/CD, and automated firmware testing practices.

Responsabilités

• Design robust firmware architecture for MCU-based systems.
• Develop and maintain drivers for peripherals and RF modules; implement communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, CAN).
• Create deterministic real-time control loops and manage interrupts.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers during board bring-up and testing.
• Develop secure bootloaders and OTA firmware update mechanisms for harsh environments.
• Build and run unit tests, HITL tests, and automated test benches for reliability.
