Harmattan AI is seeking an Embedded Electrical Engineer to join the R&D team. You will own hardware design for compute modules and boards across our platforms, from architecture through bring-up and qualification, including high-speed digital design and power sequencing.

You will collaborate with software, mechanical, and validation teams to deliver flight-qualified hardware for autonomous defense systems in a rigorous, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• MSc in electrical, computer, or related engineering field; PhD a plus.
• 5+ years in embedded hardware design with bring-up and production.
• High-speed design including layout constraints and validation.
• Systems built around a processor with external memory (DDR, Flash).
• Power trees with conversion topologies and verified power-up/down.
• In-depth knowledge of Altium or similar CAD tools.
• Experience with thermal, vibration, EMC, and ESD qualification.

Responsabilités

• Board Design: design SoMs, baseboards, and test boards for compute platforms.
• High-Speed Digital Design: PCIe, 10 Gb Ethernet, USB 3.x, MIPI and signal integrity.
• Power Design: design power trees, sequencing, conversion topologies, verify power-up/power-down.
• Design Reviews: lead reviews from block diagram to fabrication release.
• Manufacture: collaborate with PCB/EMS partners on stack-up and costs.
• Bring Up and Qualification: define verification test plans and perform thermal, vibration, EMC, ESD tests.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with software, mechanical, and validation teams.
