Job summary

Datadog, Inc. is seeking a distributed systems engineer to design and build core services for a cutting-edge profiling product. You will work with runtime engineers, data scientists, and designers to handle data intake, indexing and visualization at scale.

You will own your code from development to production, collaborating with distributed teams and applying architectural judgment to guide trade-offs in a complex product space. Proficiency in Java or Go and strong English skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java and/or Go essential.
• Distributed systems background with high-performance, large-scale systems.
• Strong English communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to review architecture and guide trade-offs in complex products.
• Experience with AI coding agents to produce performant results.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and contribute to core services for the profiling product at scale.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary squads, iterate with customers from ideas to product experiences.
• Own code from development to production, meeting SLOs and quality gates.
• Engage with stakeholders to consume profiling data via UI, tools, and integrations.
