Job summary

Datadog is seeking a distributed systems engineer to design, build, and operate core profiling services at a demanding scale. You will collaborate in multi-disciplinary squads, iterating with customers from early explorations to tangible product experiences.

You will own your code from development to production, and you will meet strict SLOs and quality gates while working with UI, agent tools, and partner integrations to surface profiling data.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java and/or Go essential.
• Distributed systems engineer with experience building high performance large scale systems.
• Excellent communication skills (English).
• Ability to meaningfully review architectural proposals and guide technical trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Help design, build and contribute to the core services making the profiling product possible, at a scale that is unusual even within Datadog.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary squads, and iterate with customers, to bring ideas from explorations to impactful product experiences.
• Be responsible for your code from development to production, and meet ambitious SLO and quality gates.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on various ways to consume profiling data (UI, agent tools, internal apps, integrations, partner products).
