Senior Designer, AI Security Detections & Exposure

Job summary

Qevlar AI is seeking a senior product designer to own the detections and exposure design from discovery to shipped product. Your first project will be the initial detection base analysis, showing coverage, noise and gaps for customers, and you will collaborate closely with the PM and engineering squad.

You will spend time with detection engineers, SOC analysts and MSSPs to translate their workflows into practical, trusted UX.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product design in complex, data-heavy B2B products (security, observability, analytics, developer tools or similar).
• A portfolio that shows your process (research, trade-offs and measured outcomes).
• Experience designing for expert users who make high-stakes decisions with incomplete information.
• Strong information architecture, data visualization and UI craft, with design system contributions.
• An AI-native, code-literate way of working: prototype in code with AI tools and PR against a component library, with Figma as core.
• Experience in a fast-moving startup or scale-up, comfortable with ambiguity and a pragmatic shipping approach.
• Based in the UK or France.

Responsibilities

• Own design for detections and exposure from discovery to shipped product with PM and engineers.
• Spend time with expert users (detection engineers, SOC analysts, SOC managers, MSSPs) to translate workflows into practical UX.
• Design for trust in AI: show reasoning and evidence, let users check it and act on it.
• Make dense data clear: coverage and prioritisation views, relationships between detections, alerts and assets.
• Prototype in code with AI tools and contribute to the design system so ideas reach users quickly.
