Job summary

Mistral seeks a senior reliability engineer to shape the engineering foundations of its AI compute capacity. You will own design criteria for colocated facilities, assess electrical, cooling and control systems, and drive reliability improvements across projects.

You will collaborate with IT hardware, facilities and operations teams to ensure testing, acceptance and handover are rigorous and complete. Strong English and 8+ years in data centers are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in mission-critical data center design, engineering or reliability.
• Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with critical power and cooling architecture and redundancy.
• Ability to review drawings, calculations and root-cause analyses.
• Strong English communication and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve design criteria and colocation requirements for new facilities and upgrades.
• Translate roadmaps into facility envelopes: IT load, density, electrical topology, cooling capacity, temperatures, flow and monitoring.
• Review power, protection, and electrical/Mechanical systems for AI loads.
• Lead reviews of drawings, sequences of operation and reliability studies; document risks and decisions.
• Participate in site selection, due diligence and provider governance; balance performance and operability.
