Job summary

Harmattan AI in Wissous, France, seeks a Logistics Officer to own inbound and outbound logistics across Wissous and Paris sites, with significant autonomy and responsibility for freight flows, customs, DG, and ITAR compliance.

You will collaborate with production, supply chain, and engineering teams to align logistics with operational needs, while maintaining rigorous regulatory adherence and handling military hardware and sensitive shipments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in freight, logistics, or supply chain in regulated industries.
• Ability to run inbound/outbound logistics independently.
• Deep knowledge of HS/CN, import/export declarations, incoterms.
• Experience with ITAR, EAR, and EU dual-use controls.
• DG certification (IATA DGR/ADR) with lithium batteries.
• Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Own inbound freight flows for both sites - booking, tracking, customs clearance, and goods receipt for components, materials, and equipment.
• Manage outbound shipments to customers, integrators, programme offices, demonstrations, and trade events - from booking through to proof of delivery.
• Independently classify, prepare, and document dangerous goods shipments under ADR, IATA DGR, and IMDG.
• Apply HS/CN tariff codes, incoterms, and customs regimes to ensure accurate declarations and full compliance records.
• Coordinate goods flows between Wissous and Paris, ensuring stock transfers, documentation, and storage standards for military hardware and DG.
• Identify process gaps and compliance risks and propose structured improvements to the Lead.
