Job summary

Back Market, the global marketplace for refurbished devices, is seeking a data scientist to join the Pricing & Quality team. You will design, build, and scale AI-driven solutions to optimize fees and pricing, driving value for customers and the business.

You’ll own projects end to end, collaborate with fellow data scientists and backend engineers, design experiments, and communicate insights to stakeholders, helping the platform offer the best price and sustainability impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a data scientist.
• Master’s degree (or PhD) in Statistics, Economics or Engineering.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; strong ML and statistics background.

Responsibilities

• Drive pricing intelligence with ML models and pricing levers.
• Own projects end to end from problem definition to results presentation.
• Collaborate with data scientists and backend engineers to productionize models.
• Design and analyze experiments to measure pricing strategies.
• Apply statistical analyses to uncover actionable business insights.
• Communicate findings clearly to engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
