Back Market, a global marketplace for refurbished devices, seeks a marketplace economics expert to apply advanced analytics and causal inference to strategic questions. You will influence growth, pricing, incentives, and inventory decisions across markets worldwide.

You will build models, design experiments, mentor analysts, and collaborate with Supply, Pricing and Engineering teams to drive measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• 4-8+ years applying causal inference to business problems.
• Strong SQL and Python (or R) skills.
• Experience guiding cross-functional decisions with leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Build causal models to understand supply, pricing and policy impacts.
• Design experiments and quasi-experiments including holdouts and effects.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations for Revenue and Pricing.
• Lead cross-functional projects with Supply, Pricing, Business and Eng.
• Establish best practices for causal inference and impact measurement.
• Communicate complex analyses to senior stakeholders to influence decisions.
