Job summary

Swile is hiring a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join the Data Platform team. You will design and improve tools and platforms that empower engineering teams to own their data pipelines, and ship AI tooling as part of the platform.

You will work across batch and event-driven architectures (Airflow, dbt, Kafka) and promote standards while helping teams grow. You will collaborate with teams in France and Brazil, bringing strong data or platform engineering experience and a drive to learn other

Qualifications

• Solid experience in data engineering or platform engineering.
• Strong expertise in one area and curiosity to learn others.
• Experience with Python, Ruby, Airflow, Kafka, Snowflake, dbt, Terraform.
• Autonomous, clear communicator, collaborative with other teams.
• English proficiency; daily collaboration with Brazil.
• Commitment to environment, diversity, fairness and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve tools and platforms enabling engineering teams to build data pipelines.
• Ship AI tooling as part of the platform to aid data products.
• Contribute to batch processing with Airflow/dbt and event-driven architecture with Kafka.
• Define, document and promote standards and best practices.
• Help teams adopt tools and grow their skills.
• Evangelize platform vision across teams in France and Brazil.
