Donorbox, a leading nonprofit fundraising platform, is hiring a Data Engineer to build and maintain scalable data pipelines and models. You will work on ETL/ELT workflows, BigQuery data warehousing, and data quality initiatives while collaborating with analysts and stakeholders to drive data-driven decisions.

You will mentor peers, document data assets, and deploy data products to Superset, all within an agile, fully remote team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Data Engineering role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, dbt and Airflow.
• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL and Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with Superset or other visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau.
• Solid software engineering principles: modular code design, testing, and version control.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and Agile experience.
• Bonus points if you have Ruby, nonprofit sector experience, or SaaS experience.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using SQL, Python, dbt and Airflow.
• Design and optimize data models in BigQuery for analytics and reporting.
• Ensure data quality and usability for analysis and downstream dashboards.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with data analysts and stakeholders.
• Build robust reporting foundations for analysts with ready-to-use data.
• Document data systems, pipelines, and schemas for clear knowledge transfer.
• Deploy datasets, reports, and dashboards to Superset for organization-wide access.
• Follow software engineering best practices including version control, testing, and modular design.
• Operate in an Agile environment and present data products to stakeholders for feedback.
• Own end-to-end data solutions from root cause to production-ready implementations.
• Conduct regular performance audits on pipelines and dashboards and optimize accordingly.
